Education is an important part of every society. In Zambia it is a way to break out of the poverty cycle. In order to attend school, children need a uniform or, in most cases, they are not allowed to attend. For several years Teen Missions has been sending ladies over to sew school uniforms for the children. It has been such a successful ministry and childen often receive a second set of clothing. We again will be sending a team to the village of Mibende. This is a remote area out in the bush. Here the team will set up camp in tents and will also set up a make-shift sewing room; close to nature and run by a generator. During the time in Mibende the team will have the opportunity to meet many of the children for whom they will be sewing uniforms. On Sunday there will be an opportunity to worship together with the people of Mibende and share with them. All washing will be done in buckets, with water fetched from the nearby creek. This team is tough, but definately worthwhile, bringing hope to many young lives. Dates: September 25th – October 10th.
Cost: AU$3790
