DATES OF INVOLVEMENT: December 14, 2019 – January 25, 2020
Are you ready for a Pacific island adventure to challenge and excite you? Are you ready for tropical jungles, coconuts and the sparkling bright blue ocean? Vanuatu awaits – but don’t let this stunning paradise fool you into thinking this summer will be relaxing – important work lies ahead! Rich in culture yet one of the poorest nations in the Pacific, education resources are limited in these islands and solid Bible teaching is needed to ground local believers in truth. After finishing your training at Boot Camp in Tewantin, QLD, you will fly from Brisbane International Airport to Port Vila, then on to the island of Pentecost – home of the first Bungee Jump! From there you will travel to your project site in Waterfall Village, where you will be housed in dorms. The needs here will keep you busy this summer, renovating classrooms to improve access to education, as well as replacing the roofs of buildings. This team needs many hands to make light work! Most of the islanders live in small villages on Pentecost; trekking through these communities with drama, music and puppets is just one way you will draw a crowd of children to hear the Gospel. While you may escape to hidden waterfalls in the evening to cool off after a hot day’s work, and enjoy spectacular sunsets, Vanuatu needs people who are looking for more than a holiday to pristine beaches, resorts and bustling markets. Vanuatu needs people who will love their communities as their own, who will encourage and strengthen local Christians through their hard work, and share the love of God any chance they get. You can do that. Will you do that?

Prices DO NOT include the registration fee or any travel to Boot Camp and home from Tewantin QLD. All clothing, passport, visas, immunizations, equipment deposits, air tax or levies, changes in exchange rates, personal expenses, spending money and any other items required are at the participant’s expense. These expenses may vary substantially and will be made known to you nearer the time of departure and when an accurate cost can be determined by the airlines and immigration. We apologize for any and all inconveniences.
