Shania is twenty years old and of aboriginal descent, originally from Beaudesert QLD. She became a Christian a year and a half ago and is now in her Second Year studying at the Teen Missions Bible College. She has partaken in 1 Mission trip to the Solomon Islands in 2015. She’s energetic and loves doing physical activities including sports, skating and gym. She likes motivating others to reach their potential and finding gems in the Word to share.
Paula grew up in rural Victoria. Although she spent most of her life attending church, she only recently committed her life to Jesus and has begun to understand the greatness of God’s mercy and love for her. She’s a talkative girl with a hunger to know more about her Creator and the world around her. She’s looking forward to gaining a deeper understanding of the Word of God and growing in faith and maturity.
Jonathan Blackburn is 20 years old. He has been on three TMIA teams; Vanuatu 2010-2011, China 2011-2012, and Scotland 15-16 as a leader. Last year Jono learnt to trust and rely more fully on God. Now in his second year of BMW, he is keen to keep serving, following and letting God guide his steps.
He one day wants to get a trade and use that to serve God.
Kara is a kind, generous, and outdoorsy girl from Gympie QLD. She is 20 years old and has a heart to serve God, particularly in Africa. She loves helping people in any way possible and has had the privilege to go on three Teen Missions teams to South Africa, Tanzania and Madagascar. Kara is really looking forward to the next year at Bible College and can’t wait to see what else God has in store for her.
Georgia is 20 years old and has been on two teams with TMIA; South Africa 14-15 and Scotland 15-16 as a leader, each was a life changing experience reminding her how amazing God is and how much He desires a relationship with us. This year Georgia is finishing off her diploma with the BMW program, she is keen to see where God will lead her over this year and what He plans to reveal. She wants to be a missionary and one day hopes to work in the Middle East, but really she’ll be happy with wherever God leads her.
David is 20 years old, he is from Burpengary QLD, and is finishing off his second year at the TMIA Bible School.
He went on a mission trip to Cambodia 14-15 and stayed back as home staff over last summer.
David loved learning and growing last year and is keen to be more disciplined and intentional in his studies, relationships and work throughout this year.
He is also excited to see where God leads him throughout this course and in the future.
Carl has found a passion for seeking to know and understand God’s Word, after boarding a flight from his beloved home in NZ and arriving here in Australia he knew that this is was the place he wanted to be. From travelling around Australia to going to the Solomon Islands 15-16, Cambodia and Vietnam 13-14, Carl has had some wondrous adventures with Teen Missions. He has found a delight in God and wants to help others know their value and worth that their God, the great King of Heaven sees in them.
Bec has been on four Teen Missions Trips; Vanuatu 2011-12, Greece 2012-13, Cambodia Vietnam 2013-14, and Myanmar 2014-15. All of these teams where life changing experiences. She realised that the more she put into each trip the more she got out of it. For that reason she determined to take as much out of life as possible. She desires to seek God in everything she does and is excited for what the future holds. Bec wants to serve overseas in an orphanage and among the poverty stricken. She has a huge heart for the lost people in the world. She enjoys playing guitar, flute and travelling.
Hannah grew up in Burpengary, she is 18 years old and is partaking in the BMW program. Hannah has been on one short term missions trip to Tanzania, Africa, in 2015/2016 where she helped render and plaster the outside of a the BMW school, as well as clearing a soccer field for an evangelistic outreach purposes. She enjoys worship and learning all the ways in which to bring glory to God. Hannah is keen to see where God takes her and wants to one day work in prison ministry. Two of her favourite Bible verses are John 14:27 and John 15:16.
Hannah went on her first Teen Missions trip at the end of 2015 to Tanzania. There she committed her life to the Lord to live and do what He wants. She loves serving God and digging deeper into His Word, and that’s why she’s very excited to joins us here from Perth to start her first year of BMW. Some of her hobbies include reading, playing classical flute and cooking. She really enjoys spending time with people and getting to know them more. Some of her favourite Scriptures are Proverbs 3:5-6, Galatians 6:9-10, 1 Timothy 4:7-8, 15-16.
Emma went on her first Teen Missions team to Fiji in 2014-2015. It was a life-changing experience for her and it was here that she committed her life to full-time ministry for God. She originally comes from Geelong, Victoria, but for the last couple of years as been travelling Australia with her family. She loves playing the guitar, reading and admiring God through nature. Emma is excited for the year ahead at BMW and can’t wait to see where God leads her in the future.
Tim went on his first mission trip with his school to India in 2014. Shortly after that God was calling him to be a missionary overseas. He then went to the Solomon Islands in 2015-2016 with Teen Missions and while on this trip the Lord called him to come study at BMW and prepare to be a missionary. Tim is excited to see where the Lord calls him in the future. Tim enjoys listening to music, writing music, playing guitar, cooking and going for walks, observing the beauty of God’s creation.
