Come join a team which will be making a difference in the lives of some very special children in China.God put a vision in the heart of the founder of the Hiromi Children’s Recovery Centre when he was brought face-to-face with the terrible plight of children born with disabilities in China. HCRC is a non-profit school that shares the love of God with the people of China by ministering to children with special needs. As well as being a place of refuge for these otherwise rejected children, the school also provides work training classes so that the kids can have marketable skills. HCRC began by meeting the needs of children with hearing impairments and has grown to include children with mental and speech disabilities. After completing Boot Camp training, you will bus to the Brisbane International Airport where you fly to Singapore before landing at Fuzhou International Airport. You will then travel an hour and a half to the school in the village of Yuan Xian. Your project will be to help with the continued growth and expansion of the school. There will be many opportunities here for friendship evangelism and you will be able to share the love of Jesus with the children through games, music, puppets and balloons. Housing will be in classrooms with showers available. A day trip is planned to Fuzhou where you will climb a thousand steps that take you to the top of Drum Mountain. Wall hangings and real china are available for purchase as souvenirs and of course you can discover the many flavours of Chinese tea. Following your memorable time in China you will head back to Tewantin for Debrief. |
