In Zambia it is a way to break out of the poverty cycle. In order to attend school, children need a uniform or, in most cases, they are not allowed to attend. For several years Teen Missions has been sending ladies over to sew school uniforms for the children. It has been such a successful ministry and childen often receive a second set of clothing. We again will be sending a team to the village of Mibende. This is a remote area out in the bush. Here the team will set up camp in tents and will also set up a make-shift sewing room; close to nature and run by a generator. During the time in Mibende the team will have the opportunity to meet many of the children for whom they will be sewing uniforms. On Sunday there will be an opportunity to worship together with the people of Mibende and share with them. All washing will be done in buckets, with water fetched from the nearby creek. This team is tough, but definately worthwhile, bringing hope to many young lives. Dates: September 25th – October 10th.

Cost: AU$3790

We are that close to finishing yet it will not be done unless we can get one more crew in to get it completed. The rains have put a halt to the project and the people are losing hope and wondering if it will ever be used. We’re looking for some hard workers to join us as we head over to the remote village of Mibende. This church building will also be used as a school classroom and will host classes for women in the village to teach them practical skills such as sewing and cooking, as well as nutrition for their children. The team will fly to Ndola, Zambia, where our Teen Missions’ base is situated. After a brief stay and pack-up, the team will move by truck out to the village of Mibende. Mibende is quite remote and housing will be in tents and all washing and showering will be done by bucket. There are opportunities for those who would liketo stay longer to work on other church building projects in other villages.

Teen Missions has started a ministry called, ‘Motorcycle Sunday School Missions.’ Every week students and staff from Teen Missions Zambia and Malawi take out motorcycles to many remote villages and teach the children the Gospel. A lot of times this is the only way these children and adults will hear about Jesus. In the past year, this ministry has been very successful with crowds of kids waiting for their weekly lesson. They memorise Scripture, hear the Word and worship God together. We have the opportunity to send teams to Malawi and Zambia with this ministry almost all year round and are leaving dates up to whenever it may suit you or your group. The children and villagers feel very blessed by this ministry and if you would like to take part in helping, you too will be significantly blessed by what God is doing in these lands and the changes He is bringing about in many lives.

Malawi Cost: AU$4000 Zambia Cost: AU$3900
