India

Dates of Involvement: 26 December 2020 – 24 January 2021

Build and strengthen the body of believers in India this summer through the completion of a church. Speak truth and hope into the lives of locals as you bring the Word to them through children’s ministries and outreach. Partnering with your host missionary, unique opportunities to evangelise await you this summer! When you visit schools and churches, you will share music, puppets, dramas and testimonies with children whose eager faces will be unforgettable. Practical evangelism and construction skills are only the beginning of what God has in store for you to learn this summer. Your time of training begins at Boot Camp in Tewantin, Queensland, and will continue throughout your time in the field in Vijayawada, India. Your summer will conclude at Debrief, back in Australia, before you return home. As this nation becomes harder to reach for Christ, will you take this opportunity to go?

Potential sightseeing: Enjoy a unique experience of an Indian beach, and see the port city of Machilipatnam. Historical sites in Vijayawada include Gandhi Hill, Amaravathi and the Krishna River and Barrage. You may sample renowned, mouth-watering dishes like biryanis, idlies, dosas and noodle bandis, or try your hand at bartering in the markets for paintings, saris, shawls, handicrafts, carpets, quilts, bangles, puppets, teas and more!
