New Zealand

Dates of Involvement: 26 December 2020 – 24 January 2021

God’s heart is for all the world to come to know Him. Mission is not a matter of location, but a matter of attitude: partner with a Christian camping ministry this summer to help run children’s and youth programs, and develop a mini golf course for use in ministry and outreach. Challenge yourself to proclaim the Gospel boldly in our own neighbourhood – and have fun doing it! Develop your personal evangelism skills, and learn to articulate and live out your faith boldly in a Western context while training in a variety of practical construction skills. Your time of training begins at Boot Camp in Tewantin, Queensland, and will continue throughout your time in the field in Hamilton, New Zealand. Your summer will conclude at Debrief, back in Australia, before you return home. Have you got what it takes to make disciples of all nations?

Potential sightseeing: Enjoy the local fish n’ chips or a meat pie! You’ll want your camera close by with the majestic scenery at hand – volcanoes, mountains, fields, lakes, beaches, caves.. New Zealand has it all! Take home a piece of pounamu—the NZ greenstone, or some paua jewelry, sheepskin boots or Maori carvings. In Rotorua, you may see thermal activity, a Maori village, concert and hangi, or go caving and to a black sand beach for surfing to see some spectacular contrasts in this island nation!

Team Cost: AU$1,999 / NZ$2,087
