What better way to spend your summer than by bringing help, hope, joy and love to the life of an orphan. Grace Home, located in Chang Rai, Thailand, is a place of refuge for over 30 orphans, some of whom have never known the love of even one parent.  And if you think that orphanages are only for girls, think again. Many of the boys orphaned in Thailand have witnessed terrible atrocities and are in need of the joy and friendship that their Australian and Kiwi ‘brothers’ can share. After Boot Camp, you will fly to Singapore and catch a short flight north west to Chang Mai, then bus to your  project near Chang Rai. Here you will stay at Grace Home, where your team’s main project will be to paint and assist with other much-needed work at the orphanage.  You will also enjoy sharing  the love of God through music, puppets, drama and testimonies. As you pour yourself out in blessing these children, you will find your life, values and priorities challenged and changed. The smiles and laughter will echo in your mind for years to come and the friendships will last forever. While in Chang Rai, you may have the ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ opportunity to go elephant riding as well as shop in the local markets for souvenirs at bargain prices. These may include T-shirts, watches, traditional clothing, tablecloths, carved wood products and a wide range of beautiful jewellery. The greatest souvenir, however, cannot be purchased and that is knowing in your heart that you have used your life to make a difference and leave a legacy in the life of a child.
