Spend this summer on a trekking adventure through a jungle island paradise that you will never forget! Tucked away amongst the thick green rainforest of Pentecost Island are many villages who desperately need to hear the Good News of Jesus. Some of these people have not even seen white people before. After flying from Brisbane International Airport to Port Villa, the nation’s capital, you will board a small plane for a one hour flight to Lonoroe, Pentecost Island, home of the first Bungy Jump, then onto the Waterfall Village! After landing, you will travel, ‘island style’ in the back of a ute to Ranwadi High School, where you will be housed in dorms. Showers are available while laundry will be done using buckets. This team will continue work on renovating and developing the school property, which is the only high school on the island. Some afternoons and weekends, you will trek throughout the island into the villages to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ through puppets, music, drama and testimonies. At Waterfall Village you will have the opportunity for some rest and relaxation as you bathe in the cool waters of a beautiful  river beneath a picturesque waterfall. You will be overwhelmed by the friendliness and generosity of the local people and be inspired by the joy they have, even with the little they own. Before returning to Tewantin for Debrief, this team will stop in Port Villa where you may have a chance to purchase souvenirs such as wood carvings, bush knives, sarongs, jewellery, and woven bags to remember your island adventure.
