Tim and Monika began their staff journey in 2019, moving from Adelaide, South Australia with a truck and a baby bump. Since, they have added two daughters to their family (Heidi and Anita) and stepped into the Coordinator roles for TMIA.
Prior to joining as staff, Tim and Monika both worked as teachers, served the church in a variety of youth and camping ministry roles, and were involved with Teen Missions as leaders on teams in Asia, Africa and the US. Through their work and ministry here as staff, Tim and Monika hope to see the Church in Australia grow, alive and awakened in faith, passionately following Jesus.
Moving on site at the beginning of 2022, Jason and Cordelia (‘Dee’) are our newest staff members. They are the proud parents of three; energetic little boys, Leonidas and Zander, and latest little handsome addition, Huxley.
Jason and Dee are former BMW students and have spent the last 6 years raising their family and completing an electrical apprenticeship (Jason), in Toowoomba QLD. God pressed upon their heart about a year ago to re-join a ministry that has had such a deep impact on them in their late teens/early 20’s. They’re passionate about discipling young people and look forward to God using their skills and energy to impact the ministry of TMIA.
Anthony heard God calling him to sign on as staff close to the end of 2021. Prior to joining staff, Anthony was spending his time at the TMIA base as a volunteer at the end of 2020, and as a gap year student during 2021 and early 2022.
Anthony feels called to share the gospel to the unreached in North-Western India where there is extremely little gospel influence. He is passionate about sharing the gospel with people who may not know Jesus and looks forward to where God is leading him in the future!
After enjoying two summer teams, some time volunteering, a retreat/working bee and the Boots on the Ground gap year, Michael wasn't hugely surprised to find God leading him to take up a staff commitment with Teen Missions.
Originally from Adelaide, Michael has a high school teaching degree on hold, a completed TESOL course, and a passion for discipling young people. Knowing how Teen Missions has nurtured, challenged, matured and inspired him over the past three and a bit years, he looks forward to seeing how God continues to shape and mould him over the next 12 months as he helps "train tomorrow's missionary today."
After going on a summer team to Uganda and completing the Boots on the Ground gap year program, Maddy felt as though God was calling her to join staff at Teen Missions.
Whilst born in Western Australia, Maddy has lived most of her life on the Gold Coast in Queensland. She has recently started studying part-time to be a high school teacher with the goal of using those skills as an overseas missionary in the future. Maddy has a heart for the lost and a desire to see everyone come to know and experience the love of God for themselves.
She looks forward to seeing the work that God will do in and through her as she serves him in her role at Teen Missions.
Elizabeth has been living and working as a missionary for God for over 50 years. She resides in her home country of New Zealand. God’s call came when she was 12 years old. After nursing training, Bible school in Tasmania, Australia and SIL with Wycliffe she was on her way to Venezuela – single! By the time her first furlough came five years later she had married a fellow-Kiwi husband, Robin, had two little boys and was expecting a third baby.
For seventeen years they worked in literature distribution in Venezuela and during those years, had four Teen Missions teams put up three buildings for the ministry. In 1980 they joined the staff of Teen Missions and with four children, immigrated to Florida. Fifteen busy and fruitful years followed, until Robin became ill and they returned to live in New Zealand. He passed away in 1998 and Elizabeth continues to try to fill a very big pair of shoes!
All current staff are faith-supported missionaries. If you would like to partner with them in their work and ministry here at Teen Missions, please contact the office for more information about financial and prayer support: [email protected]
Mark and Lilian, along with their four children (George, Lia, Maeva and Simon), love God and desire to follow Him faithfully. This prompts them to move halfway around the world. They have witnessed firsthand the lives that have been transformed through TMIA’s summer team and BMW programs. After spending the last three years in Chicago, USA, where Mark has studied at Moody Bible Institute and Theological Seminary, they are excited to plant roots in Tewantin!
Pray without ceasing.
In everything, give thanks.”
